Hoppiness is the Platte River

We will paddle the Little Platte River in Grant County to learn about a riverine invasive species, Japanese hops.  We will pause to help the Friends of the Platte River eradicate it from the stream bank for an hour or so, then repair to the Potosi Brewing Company and National Brewery Museum to appreciate a finer hop, Humulus Lupulus, used in Good Old Potosi Beer.

When: Saturday, July 10, 2010, paddle 1pm - 3pm, brewery 4pm - 6pm
Where: Little Platte River, Grant County, WI
Cost: $25/person (please bring your own boat, appetizers will be provided at the brewery)
Staff Contact: Laura MacFarland, lmacfarland@wisconsinrivers.org, 608-257-2424 x110
