Fools’ Flotilla welcomed floats, boats, and fun to the Yahara River
River Alliance of Wisconsin once again welcomed boaters to the Yahara River in Madison for the Fools’ Flotilla on June 12. The event was part of the annual Marquette Neighborhood Association’s Waterfront Festival. The floating parade included live music by local musicians performing as the River Rats and creative costumes and floats.
“River Alliance of Wisconsin hosts the event to ensure a safe and fun experience for people to celebrate one of Wisconsin’s beloved urban rivers,” said River Alliance Executive Director Allison Werner. “By welcoming our Madison neighbors to participate, we hope more people will discover the value of this gem of recreation in our city.”
