Fools’ Flotilla

It’s like a flash mob on a river! In partnership with the Marquette Neighborhood Association’s annual Waterfront Festival, River Alliance of Wisconsin hosts Fools’ Flotilla. The family friendly event is a paddle down the Yahara River from the Tenney Locks to Yahara Place Park. Costumes encouraged. Find the registration link and details on our events page.
Wisconsin Senators will soon hear SB 312 which would create the programs to spend the PFAS trust fund. While the promise of funding to deal with PFAS contamination could be a step in the right direction, the bill must be amended to make sure the programs are fair, consistent, and will have state agency staff to help communities with polluted drinking water.
