“[I’ve] been very involved in authoring stormwater master plans to help municipalities minimize impacts.”
Western Wisconsin
Hudson, WI
How do you work to protect Wisconsin’s waters?
I’ve been very involved in authoring stormwater master plans and Storm Water Utilities to help municipalities minimize negative impacts. I have also been actively involved in securing funding for easements and research studies to document the impacts of stormwater on our water resources. As a lifetime member of Trout Unlimited, I have spent countless hours working on stream restoration projects in Wisconsin.
The impacts of stormwater are one of the greatest threats to our lakes and streams. We must minimize the impact of this threat or we will lose the resource waters.
What keeps you strong and inspired in the face of challenges?
We are continuing to make progress in both awareness and on specific projects. Sometimes the political climate slows our progress, but we must figure out ways around, over or through these obstacles!
What’s your favorite “water spot” in Wisconsin?
Places I can go flyfishing for trout.
