“We strive to provide a quality family camping experience”

Since 1965, there’s been a special place in Pardeeville where families have come together to relax and socialize, have grand adventures and create lasting memories. Proprietors Dave and Myrna Schneider know, intuitively, that the water is what draws people to Indian Trails, their family-owned campground and boating livery on a private lake near the Upper Fox River. While the campground lets people commune with nature in many ways, their outfitting business, Fox Trail Outfitters, gets people paddling on a section of the river that maintains a sense of mystique.

“Families look for water recreation as one of the top amenities when they select a destination,” says Dave. “They want to swim, fish, paddle, and relax by lakes and rivers.” At Indian Trails they can do all that and more: the “home away from home” campground features a swimming beach, 15-acre fishing lake, indoor pool, restaurant & snack bar, game room, cabin rentals, more than 300 campsites, playground, BMX track and even a dog park. And, of course, through Fox Trail, guests can take a meandering river trip down the historic Fox River.

“Clean water is what allows resorts, campgrounds and river outfitters like us across the state the opportunity to provide these facilities to Wisconsin families,” says Dave. “We of course want them to vacation in Wisconsin instead of other destinations. We also encourage our customers to help take care of the Fox River when canoeing and kayaking by reporting any issues and picking up any litter if they can do so safely.”

During peak season, Indian Trails has a staff of about 33 people. Led by the Schneiders, Indian Trails strives to always be the first choice for guests looking for a great destination to spend quality family time together.
