Michael Tiboris, Clear Water Farms Director
Michael joins River Alliance with a deep background in water policy, cooperative resource governance, and agricultural development. Previously, he was Global Water Fellow for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs’ Global Food and Agriculture Program, where he managed research on water policy and food security. His work is widely published in peer reviewed academic journals, law reviews, policy reports, and popular media sources. Michael has held fellowships from the Spencer Foundation, San Diego State University’s Institute for Ethics and Public Affairs, and was a Public Fellow for the American Council of Learned Societies and Mellon Foundation. He also teaches water development policy at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy.
When he’s not working to make water stewardship and agriculture into mutually supportive activities, he can be found playing the banjo at old-time jams and padding around in wild wooded spaces looking for weird bugs to show his kids.
